  • Overview

    Responsible for ensuring project teams have the logistical support both domestically and internationally in accordance with customers, country, and regulatory processes. Follows the supply process starting from the achievement of relevant Ex-Works through delivery; works closely with other internal functions, partners, and suppliers to ensure integration with overall project requirements. Develops and implements a countrywide inventory strategy to manage internal assets, local and remote inventory, maintenance, and spare parts inventory.


    • Coordinate and collaborate with expediting to gather, analyze, and identify potential impacts for the reporting and communication of supply schedules, ensuring the delivery of goods are achieved per the project master schedule, and in accordance with the project delivery plans.
    • Collaborate with the expediting unit on the communication to suppliers and to support the transit processes.
    • Coordinates logistical activities to meet the business needs and project specific requirements
    • Ensures compliance with customs regulations including examination of import entry documents, engages services, receives, verifies and processes invoices for Customs formalities and local taxes as needed and payments.
    • Ensure that all logistics activities are performed in compliance with the central logistics guidelines and all policies.
    • Supports development and implementation of import/export policies and procedures, analysis of duty drawback or other special duty programs; as well as applicable U.S. and foreign government programs.
    • Researches and coordinates the usage ability of potential warehouses for strategic supplies
    • Gathers data, monitors, reviews and reports on shipping documentation such as;
      • Upcoming and ongoing shipments, certificate of origin, customs invoices, packing list and certificates of insurance.
      • Projects including multistate transportation topics,
      • Customs services, including logistics representation, customs services (i.e., customs brokers, drayage companies, freight forwarders, ocean carriers) and port research
      • Analyzes incoterm verification and associated costs calculation for capex.
      • Heavy haul routes,
      • Loading and offloading requirement confirmation
    • Support of the annual budgeting for the maintenance and procurement of strategic spares and stock inventory

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and data base programs
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Competent oral and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of basic elements of Project Management
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Effective analytical skills
    • Skilled problem-solving abilities
    • Capable of effectively working within a multi-cultural, interdisciplinary team environment
    • Knowledge of materials management or supply chain


    • BS degree, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) highly desired; and PMP Certification a plus
    • Customs Broker's License is a plus
    • 5-8 years of related experience in the international freight, or customs trade compliance, shipping material classified as dangerous goods.
    • A self-starter with an ability prioritize, manage and handle multiple projects
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Some travel required
