  • Overview

    The Optimization Product Manager (PM) drives the product roadmap to execute our exponential growth initiatives to acquire new customers while earning loyalty with existing customers. Specific initiatives include optimizing financial performance and bankability of our industry leading economic Optimization Engine (OE); leveraging OE for automated and self-service sales modeling and simulations, rapidly breaking into new markets with new value streams, virtual power plant optimization, network operations productivity and interoperability.


    • Strategic: Refine and communicate the OE product vision and strategy.
    • Ideation: Elicit, gather, prioritize, validate and clearly communicate competing requirements by working directly with customers, partners, engineering leads, peer PM’s, Project Analysts, Sales and Sales Engineers, network operators, finance, Directors and Executives, especially the CTO.
    • Road mapping: Plan and prioritize what (and more importantly when) the engineering teams will deliver OE features.
    • Features: Define, simulate, validate and generate acceptance tests for OE features in detail--getting them ready for productive software development.
    • Go-to-market: Support sales and channel partners with demos, training, tools, documentation and subject matter expertise to help close business.
    • Operations: Support Network Operations Engineers as they exercise OE in the real world and report learnings to engineering.
    • Domain expertise: Scour the market and conferences for partner/interoperability, competitive analysis and industry trends and intellectual property support.


    • BS/technical BS degree in computer science, mathematics, renewables, power engineering, mechanical engineering or related degrees or experience. MBA or advanced scientific degree a plus.

    • 5+ years’ enterprise software Product Management experience. B2B SaaS a plus.

    • 5+ years’ experience in Commercial and Industrial, Behind-the-Meter storage and/or solar and/or microgrid industry. Project analyst a plus.

    • Project management skills including ability to multitask, prioritize, set and meet deadlines, work independently, and perform tasks with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Strong customer focus, safety and quality mindset

    • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, international travel on occasion.
