  • Overview

    The Sr. Energy Cloud Product Manager (PM) drives the product roadmap at the cloud layer to execute exponential growth initiatives to acquire new customers while earning loyalty with existing customers.  Specific growth initiatives include virtual power plants, Pre Sales tools (modeling, sizing, pricing, proposals), financial performance and bankability.  Specific operating expense reduction initiatives include interoperability, network operations productivity, reliability and cybersecurity.


    • Strategic: Refine and communicate product vision and strategy at the cloud layer.
    • Ideation: Elicit, gather, prioritize, validate and clearly communicate competing requirements by working directly with customers, partners, engineering leads, peer PM’s, Project Analysts, Sales and Sales Engineers, network operators, finance, Directors and Executives.
    • Roadmapping: Plan and prioritize what (and more importantly when) the engineering teams will deliver cloud features.
    • Features: Define, mockup, validate and generate acceptance tests for cloud features in detail--getting them ready for productive software development.
    • Go-to-market: Support sales and channel partners with demos, training, tools, documentation and subject matter expertise to help close business.
    • Domain expertise: Scour the market and conferences for partner/interoperability, competitive analysis and industry trends.


    • Business and/or technical Bachelor’s degree in computer science, renewables, power engineering, mechanical engineering or related degrees or experience.  MBA a plus.
    • 10+ years enterprise software Product Management experience.  B2B SaaS a plus.
    • 5+ years’ experience in Commercial and Industrial, Behind-the-Meter storage and/or solar and/or microgrid industry.
    • 3+ years experience in sales, sales engineering, business analyst, project analyst or related pre and post sales experience.
