  • Overview

    This position maintains the standards for wind resource activities and ensures the methods and processes applied are compliant with the EGP Operational Instructions and Procedures for the ENA Wind Center of Excellence. The Position will define, update, investigate and share know-how, procedures, models and tools about specific methodologies for the technological area of competence. The position is a reference support to other EGP Units in the field of its expertise and functions.


    • Coordinate/manage/perform work requests and approve deliverables for Wind Center of Excellence activities in ENA to ensure the compliance with EGP Operational Instructions; Create and maintain standardized reporting and calculation templates adherent to EGP Operational Instructions                            20%


    • Coordinate/manage/perform wind resource evaluation for BD development activities and due diligence efforts on third party acquisitions (including initial site evaluation, measurement planning and budgeting preparation, measurement device installations, maintenance, and data collection, internal and third party wind resource assessments, turbine evaluation, layout designs, and wind and site analyses for turbine suitability) to support EGP Development growth                                                                                   35%


    • Coordinate with BD, E&C, O&M, AFC, and Procurement, to maximize value of planned and operating wind farms.                                                                                                           20%

     Coordinate/manage/perform power curve test planning, permanent met tower siting, installation, and instrumentation for Turbine Supply Agreement power curve warranty, EGP Operations compliance and Operational Assessment needs                                                                            20%

    • Initiate and manage research & development and educational activities with universities and research institutes pertaining to wind resource assessment and turbine performance to further the continuous improvement of EGP knowledge and practice. Attend and present at conferences and seminars to learn and give an external presence to EGP.

    • Field navigation skills 
    • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Preferred proficiency in languages in addition to English (preferably Italian or Spanish)
    • International business experience preferred



    • Bachelor’s Degree Engineering, Meteorology/Atmospheric Science, Physics, or similar technical degree. Masters or higher education preferred.
    • At least five years’ experience of coordinating and comprehending various types of wind resource related requests and needs for various departments within an organization.
    • Technical knowledge (familiarity with renewable technologies, power markets, IEC related Standards, certification)
    • Regular driver’s license required
    • Up to 25% domestic travel with limited international travel required.
