  • Overview

    The candidate is responsible for building up and overseeing the planning, development and execution of the e-City strategic and tactical business growth objectives in USA in accordance with global business development and product portfolio strategy, setup by Global Business Area.

    The selected candidate’s primary responsibility is to generate entry-strategy guidelines and profitable sales growth opportunities in particular starting from Enel X smart street lighting offering. He/She should also leverage on existing Government customer base of Enel X USA organizations to cross/upsell. The successful candidate is a seasoned Business Development and Strategy professional with a focus on sales generation and an effective leader with a high sense of entrepreneurship.


    Essential Functions and Basic Duties

    • Develop and execute short/medium/long-term business plans, strategies and tactics to grow the business
    • Organize sales push campaigns (strategic or tactical) that bring upside to direct or adjacent market pursuits
    • Identify potential partners in industry, academia, or government for new pursuits and growth
    • Identify potential inorganic growth opportunities in compliance with budget and strategic guidelines
    • Start-up customer relationships
    • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to build and grow a team
    • Planning, directing and coordinating marketing budgets in accordance with organizational goals
    • Develop, Implement and Manage Trade Show strategy for the Business Area
    • Carry on market analysis on energy efficiency and street lighting segments across USA

    • Analyze State/City/Town procurement process for energy efficiency and street lighting products
    • Identify priority areas where to start up business development activities
      • Monitoring public tenders’ issues
      • Identify key stakeholders to develop short term opportunities (i.e. institutional representatives, technology/business partners)
    • Support sales development in local and global organizations, to boost profitable sales
      • Preparation of marketing material
      • Support in setup pricing strategy
      • Support preparation of bid strategy and offering
      • Support in preparation of customer facing meetings

    General Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing or a related field; MBA preferred
    • 10+ years of well-rounded marketing, business development and sales experience in positions of increasing responsibility with a focus on business winning
    • Prior sale experience with Government entities preferred
    • Prior experience in energy efficiency/lighting business considered as a plus
