  • Overview

    This position is responsible for renewable energy plant performance analysis for the Operational Efficiency group within the Operations Support unit of the Operations and Maintenance department.

    The Performance Specialist is also responsible for leading the Operational Efficiency Process with the main target to identify actions to improve plant performance and operational efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities, include, but are not limited to: 

    • Provide data analysis related to Generation, Lost Production, and Outages
    • Develop Plant models to validate Generation and Lost Production
    • Perform monitoring, reporting and analysis of O&M technical KPIs
    • Provide alarms and failures analysis
    • Develop plant performance dashboards
    • Provide Lost Energy Calculations for Reimbursable Curtailment and Insurance Claim purposes
    • Assist in development of the Annual Production Budget and 5 year plan
    • Lead the failure analysis process while working closely with Technical Support, in order to create action plans and improvement projects as a result of the failure analysis
    • Implement Quality and continuous improvement programs  

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or Computer Science preferred)
    • 2-5 years of experience related to energy analysis
    • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and energy generation business
    • Experience working with relational databases like Microsoft Access or SQL
    • Advanced MS Excel proficiency (pivot charts, VBA macros)
    • Experience with advanced analytic software like SAS, Tableau, Power BI or Alteryx
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Availability for occasional domestic and international travels
