This position is responsible for the execution of mechanical maintenance and repairs, as well as Capex work throughout assigned region. This work will include both internal and external resources under the supervision of the Site Manager.
Support the plants in working safely and within all local, state federal and company guidelines
Work with Planners to coordinate, track and manage mechanical maintenance activities performed by third party providers
Assist in troubleshooting and evaluation of mechanical equipment for assigned region including the development of the associated documentation as defined by the Planning & Support Group.
Perform onsite work for all Routine and Reoccurring Maintenance, including small scale project management, evaluation of equipment failures with other technicians and Site Manager for methods or procedures to prevent reoccurrence.
Support in the budgeting process as well as for the Health Status Forms for the region assigned
Work by SAP PM Maintenance Plans for all planned maintenance activities
Provide support for operations as required by Site Manager, including but not limited to the Monitoring of hydroelectric power plant equipment operation and performance, Start, Adjust, and Stop generating units, operating valves, gates, or auxiliary equipment in hydroelectric power generating plants.
Interface with Site Manager, for the implementation of the yearly and 5 year maintenance plans.
Interface with Technical Support for any issues relevant to plant performance, Dam Safety to include inspections and the implementation of any action and or repair plan as required and assigned by Site Manager.
Interface with Purchasing & Logistics in support of any procurement actions as required to support the region.
Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Excellent communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills required
Knowledge in Mechanical theory and troubleshooting techniques
Ability to use mechanical testing and measuring equipment, such as gauges, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers.
Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and civil drawings, for the use of troubleshooting and equipment isolation.
Ability to work as part of a team and involve others in decisions when appropriate.
Ability to take initiative in problem solving.
Associates degree in Electrical or Mechanical Technology preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years relevant experience.
Power plant operations experience is a plus.
Strong Mechanical aptitude
Electrical and Instrumentation knowledge preferred
Ability to work in adverse conditions using the appropriate PPE
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft office suite.
Ability to utilize mobile application on phones and tablets in the field for documentation of work.
Must be able to travel as needed up to 90% throughout portfolio
