  • Overview

    The position, while under minimal guidance of senior discipline members and in cooperation with other Units, will ensure the execution of engineering project assigned in complete compliance with best practices, quality, safety and environmental requirements, as well as compliance with schedules and costs, also managing external resources. Addresses and solves technical issues related to own field of expertise and by means of own knowledge in order to meet project requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the other units within the Organization for assuring the quality of the construction (supplies and works) of the renewable power plants (wind, solar, geo, Hydro and storage) - related to own field of expertise
    • Support the other units within the Organization during the start-up and commissioning of the renewable power plants (wind, solar, geo, Hydro and storage) - related to own field of expertise
    • Support the other units within the Organization for the Overall planning of the project's activities - related to own field of expertise
    • Perform and support the other units estimating the costs for the construction of renewable power plants (wind, solar, geo, Hydro and storage) - related to own field of expertise
    • Perform and support the other units the risk assessment related to the construction of renewable power   plants (wind, solar, geo, Hydro and storage) - related to own field of expertise
    • Develop, create and update on a regular basis the technical specifications to be used for any RFPs to be issued by the Organization - related to own field of expertise
    • Perform and support the other units for the preparation of the technical evaluation of the offers submitted by the Vendors for any RFPs sent out by the Organization - related to own field of expertise
    • Manage, with the support of other units within the Organization, the engineering service contracts
    • Support the other units within the Organization for the management supply, construction and commissioning contracts entered into with external service providers related to own field of expertise
    • Provide feedbacks for the continuous improvement of the design methodologies to the senior discipline member

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Power System Engineering
    • Master’s Degree is preferred
    • PE certification is preferred
    • From 3 to 5 years of experience in Power systems operating in Medium and High Voltage
    • General knowledge in Renewables
    • Fluent English is required.
    • HV Substation and HV Lines design and installation experience.
    • Experience in Protection and Control Systems for High Voltage Substation (Substation Automation)
    • Experience in dimensioning of the HV\MV Electrical Systems
    • Experience using design tools for HV Lines as PLCCad and tool for design of High Voltage Substation.
    • Experience using design tools for dimensioning electrical systems (like DigSILENT, ETAP, NEPLAN, etc.).
    • Knowledgeable of Grid Interconnection Studies; System Impact, Facilities, Fault, Loss, Relay Coordination, and others.
    • Ability to interface electrical design with interconnecting Power Utility.
    • Knowledge of large and small Grid Interconnections.
    • Experienced with relay testing, programming, and fault analysis.
    • Experience with design tool as AutoCAD, functional software packagesKnowledge of US National Electrical Code and National Electrical Safety Code and requirements for interconnection to the electrical grid is required.
    • Familiarity with NERC/FERC reliability standards, NEC, NESC IEEE and ANSI Engineering Standards.
    • Knowledge of IEC and other international applicable industry standards.
    • Experience in construction and/or commissioning related to own filed of expertise will be a plus
    • Must be available for domestic and international travel for meetings and for on-site support
    • Valid Driver's license
